A wonderful conversation that will have you ready to go after all the ambitious dreams inside of you.
While the research presented in this talk is part of an ongoing debate among social scientists, there’s no denying the interest surrounding Amy Cuddy’s opinion on body language. We all know that body language has a direct impact on what others think of us, but Amy’s studies also showcase how our body language changes how we see ourselves. From eye contact to power posing, this talk it is an intriguing take on how we can boost our confidence levels through our bodies.
We weren’t so sure we would find the inspiration needed to boost our confidence in pro wrestler Mike Kinney, but we were wrong. Listening to Kinney’s talk on how his invention of his wrestling persona, Cowboy Gator Magraw, built his confidence and pushed him to live to his full potential, was captivating. His talk is funny, charming and unpredictable. It also sparks a little something inside of you to remember that you are much more than you think you are.
You may be wondering why this talk made it to our list, but we promise you this 12 minute talk packs a lot of punch. With women still fighting for a seat at the table in business, we need to put more effort into raising females in a world where they can be brave and subsequently – confident. Caroline’s talk speaks to how encouraging young girls to go into life taking productive risks will ultimately lead to confident women who have stories to tell and the scars to back them up!
